The daily placement will be determined by the Advanced Learning Department Testing Coordinator based on type of test and number of students registered.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

Proctor Roles and Rates:

1. Lead Proctors $31.50 per hour (responsibilities may include)


• Responsible for the setup of the room (tables apart/enough space/facing front)
• Retrieves testing materials, browses materials for needed supplies and prepares ahead of time for test administration
• Administers test and monitors students
• May supervise assistant proctors
• Responsible for breaks if assistants in room
• Collects, organizes and accounts for all materials including computers and iPads
• Responsible for reporting/documenting test irregularities, per testing instructions
• Provides testing accommodations to students, as appropriate, per instructions
• Responsible for maintaining test security
• Attends testing training
• Allow materials and other supplies, per instructions
• Knowledge of the manual/instructions

 


2. Assistant Proctors – works under the direction of the Lead Proctors - $26.25 per hour (responsibilities may include)


• Assists in room as needed: passing out materials, monitoring students during test, collecting materials for a specific school, counting materials
• Attends testing training
• Assisting in testing
• Other duties as assigned by lead proctor
o Used only in main and occasional late testing (never extended time)
o As required by test proctor: student ratio or room limitation

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:


• Reports directly to and is supervised by the Advanced Learning Department Testing Coordinator or the Early Entrance Kindergarten Testing Coordinator


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. This position may be exposed to prolonged exposure to visual display terminals as required.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

 

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

This is a general posting for one or more temporary Advanced Learning proctor(s) positions for spring and summer 2024 (training begins in spring 2024). This position is not eligible for benefits.
