POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The position of Symmetry Coordinator and Small Works Project Manager is done for the purpose of planning, installation and maintenance of electronic access control system software in new and existing school facilities related to the safety. This position will also provide coordination and oversight of capital renovations and improvements including, but not limited, to electric vehicle charging station installations and assisting in the development of policies and procedures for charging station access; and, assisting in the project management of assigned small works building projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
• Responsible for electronic access control badging system management in coordination with the Symmetry Administrator; maintaining and updating the database for electronic security door access for all employees in collaboration with Human Resources and other departments. • Works with Symmetry Administrator on design and installation of infrastructure for electronic security access control systems in new and existing buildings. • Performs project management as assigned to various capital building projects. • Provides coordination for electric vehicle charging stations including the coordination of policy and procedures for staff and public access. • Assists in the online reporting of various state and local agencies on behalf of the District, including SEPA reporting, Department of Ecology reporting, etc. as directed. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
• Reports directly to and is supervised by the Director of Capital Projects
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
Required: • 4-year college Diploma in related field • 2 years of experience in construction, building maintenance, project management or related field
Preferred: • Experience working in a school district or similar governmental unit
Allowable Substitutions: • Additional relevant work experience may substitute for up to two years of required education
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS (positions in this class typically require):
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License • Must possess AMAG Associate Level Certification (or work towards receiving one within first year of hiring)
KNOWLEDGE (position requirements at entry):
• Demonstrates knowledge of Symmetry (AMAG) electronic access control systems and operation of such systems • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for permitting with local governmental agencies • Demonstrates knowledge of all District facilities, including MDF and IDF locations • Demonstrates knowledge of architectural design, reading and understanding of architectural drawings • Knowledge of NFPA70, National Electric Code (NEC)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
Incumbents may be required to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. May also be required to work on construction sites, following all safety requirements, and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
CTSA salary grade 8 ($ 110,859 to $ 116,694 annual) starting pay is $ 110,859 annual, 40 hours per week, for a 260-day annual assignment. Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Other benefits include vacation and paid holidays.
